Andover Men's Shed aims to provide a venue for members to connect while participating in group and individual projects.

We provide opportunities for friendship and socialising in a safe environment.  The Shed offers space, expertise and facilities for members to pursue hobbies, crafts and many creative activities.

For more information click 'What is a Shed'.

The Shed is open on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 10.00am - 1.00pm

Unit 9, Chantry Centre, Andover (quite close to the Angel Inn).

At the EGM on Monday 29th January 2025, Colin Whitehouse was elected as the new Shed Chairman.  We wish him well in his new role.

This followed the resignation of Roger Evans due to ill heath.  Roger acted as chairman during the difficult Covid days but despite this he obtained a large number of grants, secured charity status for the shed and skilfully steered the move from Enham to Andover (in the old Timothy Whites shop) and then a few months later to our current home in the Chantry Centre.

Thank you Roger.

Being in the centre of Andover has lots of advantages:- excellent community visibility, a large warm space with plenty of room for work benches and machinery, a kitchen and of course a toilet.

There are always projects in progress, as well as items we sell in our shop window, including pens, bowls, candleholders, planting tubs, carvings and nest boxes.

We need new and existing members to help us complete these projects, so please come along and join in the fun of making something useful while enjoying the companionship of fellow makers.

NEWS

***Updated*** New Home for the Shed

The Shed is urgently looking for a new permanent venue.

There is a possible site at Picket Piece which Andover Town Council may purchase for community use.   The council is asking for opinions on whether they should buy the land, and how it should be used.  It would make a great location for the Shed, so to support us, please fill in the online form below and add that suggestion under Section 13.
